Record in our comfortable 25' x 13' playing room, with 7' x 7' 3-inch floating riser. A headphone monitoring system ensures constant communication with band members in isolation booths, or record all your musicians in one room to capture a "live" vibe. Either choice leads to great results.
Monitoring/Mixing
Gaze at our 23-inch flat-panel monitor as images of your sound waves float by in our comfortable control room. Sit up front with the engineer and twist knobs, or kick back on the love seat and take advantage of complimentary refreshments and let us do the heavy lifting.
Lessons
Studio West also offers guitar and drum lessons.
Rob teaches guitar and offers lessons in rock, blues, jazz, and country styles. He has played all over the west coast with the bands "Bent," "Slam Suzanne," "Crankenstein," and "Lug" in rock, jazz, and fusion idioms. Complete beginners and players with intermediate experience will cover topics such as chords, scales, arpeggios, soloing and theory.
Andrew Quattro teaches drums. Andrew was the lead drummer for The Northwest School jazz band for three years and plays regular gigs with the alt rock band "The Roans." He studied drums privately for 9 years and is well versed in all styles. Andrew tailors his lessons to each student's particular needs.
Guitar and drum lessons are held in the studio and can be recorded to CD for the student's review and study. Rates are $20 per half hour or $30 per hour. E-mail to set something up. Go to the contact us page and use the form there.
